THE RULES
NO SPAMMING
: This means filling threads with irrelevant information also includes sticking the same Post in multiple threads for no good reason. this rule also refers to anything which might not be related at least to a small extent to troubleshooting or the subject of the thread.
NO DOUBLE POSTS
: If you have to add something, use the edit button found at the top right corner of your post. Exception for this: you are the topic starter and you want to bump your thread after a minimum of 1 day has passed without a reply. We are less strict on this for newbies, as we prune and tidy the forum regularly, but have no doubt that if you persist you will be warned.
NO FLAMING
: This forum is not the place for taking out your personal grudges against people, it is intended as a place for informed communication between the clan and the players and fans of TMS. We do not wish to know that "so`n`so" who called your track terrible is a loser and that he smells, it`s un-warranted and irrelevant. OTMB provides this site for our users to gather and discuss TRACKMANIA in general. You are free to disagree with others, but if you stoop to personal abuse or attacks, your post(s) will be deleted. If you ARE insulted please report the post, but DO NOT retaliate.
NO SHOUTING
: This means no posts in all-capitals (FOR EXAMPLE, LIKE THIS) please. It is extremely hard to read. Posts submitted in all-caps will be deleted automatically. This is reserved for making a small point within a post like this "JUST DONT DO IT WE CAN HEAR YOU.".
BE CONSIDERED
: If your post is an opinion make sure you give considered reasons, e.g.
bad post > "the new relase by ******* was just bloody terrible"
good post > "I didn`t like the new update because the (tracks were bad / it was buggy on my machine / it didnt live up to the last) etc etc.
If it is a question please make sure you provide enough information so that people can help you. A post saying "My copy of TMS keeps crashing can anybody help?" is useless without an explanation of the crash/error and probably a list of you hardware.
BE CONCISE
: This means keep it simple and to the point. Please dont fill your posts with lots of uneccessary information which is barely relevant to the subject at hand. For example dont say that you "keep getting boxes with a message in which says this and has a couple of buttons which are a nice blue which goes with the pair of shoes your granny was wearing last tuesday when she went down the shops", just say that you "keep getting this error - tms has crashed because blah blah blah" instead its short its clear and above its not boring.
NO UNNECCESSARY THREADS
: If you have something to say try and make sure to see if there is already a thread on the subject instead of starting a new one for no reason.
KEEP IT RELEVANT
: Please try and make sure that your entire post is relevant to the subject at hand. If you have things to say about seperate subjects please make a post in each of the subject threads it is relevant to rather than one post about 10 different things. We have provided many areas disscussion they should fit into. so please use the relevant ones for the right topic.
DONT ABUSE THE PRIVATE MESSAGE SYSTEM
: Please do not use the PM system to ask technical support questions of the moderators or admins. Technical support questions PM'd to the moderators and admins will go unanswered. Instead, post your question in the appropriate forum for assistance from other members and board moderators. It is also not an advertisement channel for you to message all forum members with an advert for you latest track for example.
: If you search for illegal software, warez-sites, crack-sites or servers with illegal software etc. - please do not search and ask in forum! If you link to illegal sites, the post will be deleted. And please don't post: 'if you need the crack (software...), send me a PM ...'
Members with own server-access: please don't cache illegal software at your 'http:membername.otmb.org' - server.
YOU CAN BE PUNISHED!
Infringement of these rules may mean your posts could be deleted, you may even lose your ability to post. In Extreme case we can and will ban you totally including your IP.
Please remember we are just trying to provide a kind and informative service to those who play TM. Be warned that Admins are very receptive and read the forum on a daily basis, more than once Users have been banned as a result of breaking these rules. Please don't test our patience.
Thank You from the Admin team
